Document the details that matter before moving from a sample to a production order.
01 · Create an approval checklist
Record the sample model, date and version. Review appearance, dimensions, materials, functions and packaging separately, noting approvals and required changes.
02 · Keep an approval record
Keep clear sample photographs and, where useful, physical approved samples. Use identifiable references for color, texture and finishes that are difficult to describe in words.
03 · Review packaging and labels
Review manuals, barcodes, product labels and carton marks alongside the product. Check quantities per carton, carton dimensions and protection for transport.
04 · Carry requirements into inspection
Use the approved sample and specification sheet as inspection references. Record the version, affected quantity and timing of any change, and confirm it before production.
Keep these details together in one sourcing brief for supplier review and follow-up.
